With a Trax Code on a PDF, a client is able to email the document to our checking email address check@traxprint.com. Once the system has received the email, it will open the attachment, check the Trax Code and compare the entire document to the one that was originally protected. If one pixel is different Trax Print will know.

Each created document is passed through a hashing filter when it is protected. This hashed value is then stored (The document can't be reproduced from this value). When the document to be validated is sent to Trax Print, it is run through the same hash filter and the two values are compared. If they differ, the document has been modified.
